This page details Redmond Toddler Group’s Class Models for Fall 2020. We go into detail about the different classes offered this September, different activities, opportunities for siblings as well as provide a sample schedule for these models.

Class Models

Our class models will be re-evaluated quarterly, based on our “Safe Start Washington” Reopening Phase at the start of the quarter. If King County remains in Phase 2 for the start of our fall classes, we are considering one or more of the following class options: remote only, hybrid outdoor, and hybrid classroom. All our classes will have access to a variety of remote learning activities, as well as additional resources and activities as outlined in the diagram below. Safety measures and sample schedules for the hybrid classes are included on the pages below. There may be an opportunity for older siblings to participate in some of our classes. The fall quarter will run Sept 14th– Dec 4th.  There will be a break for the Thanksgiving holiday between Nov. 23-27th.  The classes following the Thanksgiving Break will be ONLINE ONLY to accommodate safe travel for families..

Additional Safety Steps

We are a coop and safety is the responsibility of all of the adults who participate in our program. To keep our school environment healthy, we will be doing the following.

  • If anyone in your household is sick, STAY HOME.  This illness shows up with a variety of symptoms, especially in kids so to be cautious, any illness should be presumed to be Covid-19 until tested and proven otherwise.  This year for the first time, you may make up missed classes by joining our online circle times.
  • Everyone will have their temperature checked and answer screening questions before entering school or starting an outdoor class.
  • Everyone will wash hands upon arrival  and frequently during class.
  • Masks on all adults and adults should do their best to socially distance (children do not need to socially distance).  Sorry no visitors to class.
  • Set spots for art and no shared art supplies.
  • Toys and supplies will not be shared between classes.
  • We are considering adding a $10 per quarter Covid-19 fee (TBD in August) for in person class students only.  This fee will help to cover additional materials to allow us to rotate toys and art materials more frequently and buy additional health and cleaning supplies.
  • For  indoor classes-  half the class will stay at the end of class to do additional cleaning.  There will be additional mouthed toy bins. There will be one-way traffic for entering and exiting the school so that classes do not cross paths.  No food will be permitted in the classroom.  We are taking steps to increase airflow in our classroom.
